Re-interviewing Resources
The overall aim of this guide is to help states develop, in accordance with the requirements described in Migrant Education Program (MEP) regulations, both prospective and retrospective re-interviewing processes that are efficient and effective and that provide useful, valid, and reliable information about state identification and recruitment (ID&R) processes.
Federal Re-interview Regulations
Section 200.89 (b) (2) of the Federal Regulations governing the MEP, effective August 26, 2008, requires that all MEPs conduct prospective re-interviews as an additional validation to the counts submitted to the Office of Migrant Education (OME) via the Consolidated State Performance Report (CSPR).
This is a sample re-interview form used to collect data during face to face and over the phone re-interviews. IRRC will be working to develop additional re-interview resources for states.
